The Jobe Topaz Industro 1" Differential Valve combines the Industro line's hot water and industrial rating with the Differential mechanism. A weighted float on a cord lets the water level drop to a set point before the valve reopens, reducing pump cycling on tanks filled by a pump or pressurized supply.

Special order item: This valve is not kept in stock and is ordered for you, so please allow extra time for delivery. Contact us to order and we'll confirm pricing and timing.

Key Features

  • Hot water rated: Maximum operating temperature of 176°F (80°C).
  • Adjustable differential: Set the weighted tube stop for the lower "on" level and the adjustable upper float stop for the "off" level.
  • Detach system: Disengage and re-engage the valve body with the water supply still flowing, so the filter can be pulled off and cleaned without shutting off the supply.
  • Clean water use: Intended for use with clean water.
  • 2-year warranty: Jobe will repair or replace product that fails due to faulty parts or manufacture for 2 years from date of purchase.

Installation Notes

  • Flush debris from pipelines thoroughly before fitting.
  • Mount the valve horizontally in the tank with the outlet pointing down.
  • Use thread seal tape on the inlet thread.
  • Set the weighted tube stop at the desired lower "on" position and tie off the cord at the end of the arm (the double-hole end loop system makes adjustment easy).
  • Make sure the weighted float sits between the stops, then set the adjustable upper float stop for the desired "off" position and cut off excess cord.
  • Avoid mounting the valve directly next to an overflow outlet.
  • When re-engaging the Detach body, hold the float arm down.

Minimum pressure: If the valve opens before the weighted float has travelled down to the bottom weight stop, pressure is below 1 Bar (15 PSI). Common causes are a second reservoir on the line or another draw-off, including leaks. If the problem persists, a non-return valve in line before the valve can maintain minimum pressure of 1 Bar (15 PSI) after shut-off.
