ADF110 vs. ADF210: Which Jobe Valve Adapter Do You Actually Need?

Jobe sells two small fittings that both end in "connect a float valve to a garden hose" — and it's easy to grab the wrong one if you don't know what separates them. Here's what each one actually does.

ADF110: Valve to Garden Hose Adapter

The ADF110 is a simple thread adapter. It converts a valve's 3/4" FNPT inlet to either a 3/4" garden hose thread or a 1" pipe thread — your choice, one connection at a time. It doesn't mount anything into a tank; it assumes your valve is already mounted some other way (through a Detach Long Tail, a bulkhead fitting, threaded directly into a wall) and you just need to change what's feeding it — hose instead of rigid pipe, or vice versa. ADF210: Tank Mount Adapter

The ADF210 does more at once. It's built specifically to pass through a standard 2" drain hole — the kind on most Rubbermaid stock tanks and poly/galvanized troughs — and it carries three connections in one part: 1" MNPT on the tank side, 3/4" FNPT where the valve threads in, and 3/4" FGHT on the supply side for a garden hose. In other words, it's the mounting hardware and the hose adapter combined. It also offsets the valve slightly off the tank bottom for better flow and clearance.

Use ADF210 with a short tail valve. Since the adapter itself is what passes through the tank wall, a long tail valve doesn't add anything here — the extra length just has nowhere useful to go. Pair the ADF210 with the short tail version of your valve for a clean fit.

The Real Difference

ADF110 solves a connection problem on a valve that's already mounted. ADF210 solves a mounting problem — turning a plain drain hole into a working float valve port, hose-ready right out of the fitting.
